Bricks 4 Kidz brings experience-based curriculum supporting hands-on STEAM workshops to New Zealand classrooms.

The STEAM Education Curriculum at Bricks 4 Kidz® teaches important critical thinking skills that will create future problem solvers!

Bricks 4 Kidz® In-School STEAM Workshops uses LEGO® Bricks that kids love, to deliver hands-on lessons correlated to the school’s cross-disciplinary curriculum objectives and overarching themes.

The Bricks 4 Kidz approach to learning is kinesthetic, multi-sensory and fun, creating a dynamic learning experience for your students.

The Bricks 4 Kidz STEAM Education Curriculum allow learners to explore Science, Technology and Engineering concepts through hands-on model building projects, experimenting, questioning, exploring, and discovering new ideas linked to the Achievement Objectives of the New Zealand Curriculum. Throughout the process, learners develops cross-curricular skills in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics as they inquire, problem solve and collabrate.

Bricks 4 Kidz In-School STEAM Workshops Core Programmes:

Junior Engineer

Year 0-8

Experience hands-on engineering fundamentals as they build LEGO® motorised models, develop students’ design thinking, information processing and problem solving skills alongside the exploration of science, physics and engineering.

Junior Robotics Level 1: Coding Introduction

Year 0-4

Combines hands-on robotics model building with WeDo “drag and drop” pictorial coding, to spark and develop students’ interest in Science, Computing, Engineering and Technology subjects.

Junior Robotics Level 2: Sensors Programming

Year 3-4

This programme challenges students with more complex coding and problem solving. With the use of sound, tilt and motion sensors, it allow the robotics models to interact with the world around it!

Advanced Robotics: Mindstorms EV3

Year 5-8

Utilises LEGO® Mindstorms EV3 technologies with robtoics moble building, equipping students to succeed in a technology-based marketplace.

Science Explorer

Year 0-2

This action packed course makes learning science innovative and fun for young curious minds. With the use of the LEGO® Education BricQ Motion, we spark students’ interest in STEAM and promote an understanding of the marvels of science through creative hands-on LEGO® building.

Laws of Physics

Year 2-4, 5-6

An engaging hands-on lesson that encourages students to discover physical science in action. Students experience kinesthetic learning to ground their understanding of force, motion & interactions through guided lesson plans, which foster them to find their “Eureka moments” in understanding the Laws of Physics.

Virtual AI Coding

Year 4-6

This programme introduces students to Artificial Intelligent coding through real-life projects, and inspires them to become problem solvers and innovators of tomorrow. By coding the virtual AI robot, students will learn computational thinking and programming while exlopring AI technology.

LEGO® Serious Play® for Education Workshops

Year 0-8

Bricks 4 Kidz LEGO® Serious Play® for Education workshops will lead students through a series of challenges which promotes self expression, communication and problem-solving. During the creative LEGO® building process, as a visual and kinesthetic communication tool, students will improve confidence in their ability to communicate ideas and create shared mindset.

It’s Bricks 4 Kidz’s vision to make high-quality STEAM education programmes Accessible to all Tamariki of New Zealand, to inspire them to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, through innovative play-based learning.

For over 14 years, Bricks 4 Kidz has been providing experience-based STEAM education programmes using LEGO® bricks, robotics and technology, to enhance children’s creativity, problem-solving, critical-thinking skills and a growth mindset for the future, and spark their interest in science, technology, engineering, art and maths (STEAM).


Each lesson provides kids with a new scientific vocabulary. Lessons that focus on topics such as laws of motion, employ the concept of physical science, requiring children to apply what they’ve learned to their hands-on projects.


Technology implements the use of science to invent and problem solve. Children use their creativity and analytical skills to discover viable solutions to problems presented at the start of each lesson.


Engineering uses the practical application of science to design and create. Although they may not realize it, kids use engineering skills to construct models, such as simple machines, vehicles, architecture buildings, etc.


Arts provides children with the opportunity to design, develop, construct and implement their innovative ideas. At Bricks 4 Kidz we allow children to follow their creative direction and inspire them to unleash their imagination.


Children are given the opportunity to invariably utilise math skills as they count, measure and build with LEGO® Bricks. Students build numeracy and problem solving skills through abstract mathematical concepts.
